Life is too short!

“Life is too short” is a common phrase we say at random. You can affirm to this statement or not based on your views about life.

To me, it is true since no one lives forever.  But on a general meaning, it is not really too short.  So I’d say that I am not a big fan of the statement – Life is too short!  It’s not all that short in the real sense.

God has given each one of us enough time to do something worthy in life.

To use our gifts and talent and leave a mark.

To teach others what we know.

To bring a smile on a distraught face.

To change the world with our noble contributions.

All there is to do is to put in our best and live our ultimate purpose in life.

However, whether you live up to your expectations in life is entirely your own prerogative. It is up to you to do your best or not.  It is up to you to find the purpose for which you are created.

I have been doing a bit of reflections on some recent happenings in my life. And as I’ve stated earlier, I am reiterating it, yet again, that love and smiles are all I can consciously give to this world, while I keep doing the things I love to do.

One thing remains a fact though – HE alone knows the reason for our existence and where the compass of our lives is leading us to.  We can only live for today.  We can only strive to become who we truly want to be because one by one, we will go when the time is up.

Therefore, I hope you are fulfilling what your life’s purpose is. I hope you are doing those things that put a smile on your face.  If you are surrounded by people who make you happy, hold them tightly and appreciate them always.

Love to you all on this beautiful Saturday. 🙂

  1. Beautiful post! You are on point when you say that we have to take ownership of our lives and steer it to a place in which we feel most happy and fulfilled. Thank you for sharing it. It has motivated me even more. Happy Saturday.

  2. This is a great post. Weirdly enough I love that quote because when you have lost someone that you love, you wish that you had spent more time with them and said and done certain things with them. It makes me acutely aware of my own mortality and how delicate life is. But also inspires me to keep on enjoying life, making others happy and doing what I love 🙂

    1. I believe so that every person has got some special talents or gifts in them. If only one can look deeper and find such distinct gifts. Thanks a ton for reading. I appreciate! 🙂

  3. I love your post, thanks for sharing! I strongly believe that we are here for a reason and the moment we are done with what God has intended for us to do that is the time we go home.

  5. Funny you should say that b/c I’m always saying that. Me and the husband were talking this morning and I remembered a very important lesson I learned when I was like 24…Life can change in a heartbeat. I remember losing our 2nd son Sean Patrick. The anniversary is looming and it always brings a little sadness and a lot of what if’s. I remember that day like it was yesterday and how I wished I could go back for just a second, bargaining with God, “Just let me go back for that second and let’s start this day over.” That was not meant to be and I just had to believe in His will and go forward. I am always grateful for what my life is like right now. I never, or try to never wish it were different. Blessings ❤ Different might not be what I want…

    1. So sad! The loss of a son can be devastating! We can never be too certain with life. Only God knows best. All we can do is to live with the memories they left behind. I lost my Dad some years back. It was one of the most painful moments of my life, when the world stood still. Hmmn, not the best feelings but Life goes on. And we must learn to move on with every setback. May the good Lord continue to uphold you and your family. 🙂 Peace and Love! 🙂

  6. Indeed, life is too short… I won’t go into detail (not right now – I’m in the middle of writing a weird short story about getting a haircut), but I just wanted to let you know I wholeheartedly agree. Life is too short. Carpe diem!
