It’s not up to Me…

If it is up to me

The sun will never cease to shine

The moon will never cease to glow

The world will exist without challenges

Life would be a smooth sail

And everyone will be happy

If it is up to me

I will turn back the hands of time

And be born into affluence

So I do not have to jump so many hurdles

Nor let the eyes spill its fluid

In the quest for my livelihood.

If it is up to me

I will travel the road to success

To greatness and wealth

Without one or two tyres punctured

If it is up to me

But it is not up to me

    1. I concur. If it’s up to us, we will have lazy days and just push hardwork aside. We will live the best lives devoid of any human catastrophe. But alas! It is not up to us to decide sometimes. Have a beautiful day! 🙂

  1. I look forward to seeing how you negotiate the waters of writing and bill-paying. I think that’s what you were suggesting when you said you wish you were born to affluence. I understand the sentiment. But we weren’t, so you’re right, we push on and await the rain.

    1. Hi Amy, You are quite right with your insights. Pushing on and never giving up is the hallmark of winners. My humble background prepared me to keep moving forward inspite of challenges and to never give up on my dreams. I am evolving in my writing and enjoy it as a passion for now. If it brings monetary benefits in the future, I’d gladly accept it. PS: I apologize for my delayed response. I’ve had a busy weekend and couldn’t respond to comments promptly. Thank you very kindly for visiting my blog and reading my post. I appreciate. Cheers. 🙂
