Jacqueline! A Display of Novelty and Ingenuity…

Jacqueline
*I  found this on the internet and kinda feel it captures Jackies personality. I will rephrase the last sentence to read – and you commit body and soul to whatever you believe in*

The first week of February opened with an invite to a virtual party to be aired live right on our faces and spaces.  It started by a mere thought, a streaming idea that flashed across her mind. She took a grip of it and didn’t discard the idea. I want to believe that she smiled by that flicker of thoughts to create something unique, special, different but with a positive lasting legacy.

How would this happen?

That seemed like a herculean task to build upon.  What will the resultant effect look like?

The quintessential unassuming Lady put her ideas into paper and began to propagate her vision. Employing different ways to actualize her goals.  Acting upon her goals brought about this write – up. She gave me a reason to write this post.  Her action generated reactions in the blogosphere.  She inadvertently raised my emotions which brings to mind the simple fact that an action always triggers off a chain of reactions.

Thus, it appeared on my Reader that day, I read the post and wondered what she meant by a Valentines party.  Which will be aired live right under our noses on her blog.  The call to sign up, register, re-blog went viral like the spread of wildfire.  Still I didn’t understand her concept or the manner it will be fashioned.  I signed up like an obedient servant with enormous curiosity and excitement inside of me.  Okay, I confess now, unashamedly though, that I wasn’t sure what the outcome of the party will be like.  Or even what to expect… It was the first time I’d participate in a virtual party, no, virtual Valentine’s party, Haha!

But, yes, D-Day arrived with mixed feelings and anxiety. The appointed date, which is a day before the Valentine’s Day came and bingo, the blogosphere was agog. It spilled into Valentine’s Day and I was still not found among the guests.

I was on a trip and didn’t have much access to time, or even the PC or internet. However, I managed to squeeze out a brief moment to announce my presence at the shindig.

Needless to say that I arrived late. I walked into a charged atmosphere of bloggers enjoying the groove and getting acquainted with one another.  I hopped on the dancing floor, wriggled my waist to some cool lyrics and rhythm wafting out from the loudspeakers.  Our dear amiable hostess has provided a beautiful platform for exotic food and drinks…  Then it was time to mingle, jingle, giggle and laugh and hold some brief elevator talks… and make new friends, build new networks and embrace new relationships across the globe. I availed myself of the brief opportunity I had to mingle.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I am not writing any more.  No words are enough to describe the turbo charged atmosphere here, on WordPress in the weekend.

    1. Exactly the main crux of the party – to make new friends and connect to others. Jackie deserve the outpour of love and it’s nice to know that you shared in same sentiments with me too. Thank you! I’m glad we met at the parry. 🙂

    1. Haha! I disagree that my post was better. Your write-up was well penned. You only employed a different perspective. It shows how distinct we are as humans in the way we think. We interpret the same things but in different ways. I’m glad to connect with you and look forward to a healthy interaction. Thanks! 🙂
