“Our primeval Mother Earth is an organism that no science in the world can rationalise. Everything on her that crawls and flies is dependent upon her and all must hopelessly perish if that Earth dies that feeds us”. – Viktor Schauberger
The first earth day took the United States by storm on April 22, 1970. By 1990, Earth day had climbed the global stage with awareness reaching millions of people across the globe.
It’s Earth Day today whether we like it or not. We need to be aware of the many benefits from Mother Earth. We need to be reminded of our connection to Mother Nature and acknowledge that we enjoy immense benefit through her many channels in this planet called Earth.
I love the environment. I love Nature. We all love the environment, right?
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the simple things of life we enjoy on Earth. Take the sunrise for instance, I am always drawn to the beauty of a sunrise and awed by the golden rays of a sunset. It’s always a fascinating and magnetic sight to behold.
Take a good look at the various seasons and see the captivating beauty in them. I love going to the beach side in the summer to exhale all the pungent air in my lungs. I love spending time by myself seeping in the serene coolness of the waters as they silence the noise from the world. The noise from Social Media and all the cranky people around. The noise from the incessant buzz of my mobile phone.
So, today, I’d like to take a moment to appreciate the enormous provisions of Mother Earth to humanity. I appreciate the green environment. The simple satisfaction derived from drinking a glass of water. There is a connection and attachment to everything in nature and we ought to be grateful for them all. We all are bonded by the things we love on earth. The food we grow, the waters, plants and animals etcetera.
Thank you Mother Earth for your abundant provisions for us all.
Memes are becoming one of my fav ways of sharing knowledge and awareness. Therefore, I have used them and some inspirational quotes to let you know that we are all connected to the earth and should keep it healthy.
Why don’t we preserve the Earth? For even in death, Mother Nature receives us all.
“Mother Earth was the first physician and healer. Someday, everyone will realize that she alone owns the true pharmacy in medicine, for all drugs are made from her garden, or a chemical substitute that replicates the effects and benefits her plants.” – Alma R. Hutchens
“I believe in God, only I spell it Nature.” – Frank Lloyd Wright
“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.” – Robert Swan
