Devotional Nuggets – #41

Welcome to another happy day. Another glorious day to see a new dawn. Another day to go out there and possess your possessions.

Good morning, afternoon or evening wherever you are on the globe. It’s a sunny Monday here and I am feeling somehow excited and happy without any reasons.

My meditation this morning took me through these two words – Blessings and Gifts! What does these two mean to us?

Well, there is a difference between Blessings and gifts. Gifts are temporary but blessings are permanent. Blessings are divine favour from God upon us. When God blesses you, it always has a resounding and a multiplication effect.

Gifts can make you feel comfortable where you are now, but blessings are the mother of all successes, victories and triumphs, it takes you beyond your widest imaginations. Genesis 27 (KJV), Genesis 25:5 -6 (KJV) and (Gen. 12:1-3)

If you read the above bible passages you will know more about blessings. I can’t go into details here but suffice it to say that Isaac blessed Jacob but had none left for Esau. I hope you know the story. Read and understand!!!

The reason for this post today is to remind us of the need to speak blessings upon ourselves and our household. As a parent, always bless your children. There is power in what we profess and proclaim with our tongues (mouth). You know the power you carry by the words that come out of your mouth. Seize every opportunity to bless your family… speak life into their existence and watch how the universe, nature, God carry out the words of your mouth.

How many times have you blessed your children? How many times have you blessed your spouse? Surprised??? I want to encourage you to lay your hands on your loved ones and bless them today if you have not been doing so. Your words as a parent carry so much power!!!

When you have blessings, you will have total tranquillity and an appreciable level of peace and comfort because the blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it. Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)

I pray that Almighty God will endow us with blessings and divine favour more than we ever imagined.

Stay close to the Lord and here’s wishing you all a wonderful week.

Peace and Love!
