Devotional Nuggets – #53

“No one travels the road of greatness without one or two tyres punctured.”

On every man’s journey there will always be giants on his or her way. Giants here means challenges and obstacles, even people that will try to keep them from reaching their promised land; from realising their set-goals. But we are told to rise up and contend with the opposition in battle. Deut 2: 24 (you can read the story)

“For a great door and effectual door is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries”. 1 Corinthians 16: 9.

The greater the opportunity, the greater the opposition that comes along.  But in the midst of all the oppositions, the spirit of God will empower us to rise up to possess our possessions.

Perhaps you have allowed the oppositions from challenges to knock you down and out of your goals, perhaps you have fallen once under pressure and blow from bad situations and bad advice. Perhaps, you are at the verge of giving up again because you don’t seem to get it right… well, it’s time to rise up again with boldness and try again.

Remember that champions and winners are not those who never fall. Rather they are those who refuse to remain on the floor when they fall.  (You can read Proverbs 24: 16)

Today, pick up the ‘pieces of your remaining self’ from the ground. Dust away the ugly past experiences and begin afresh. Begin again. As a Child of the Most High God and a firm believer of His promises, rise up again and secure your glorious destiny with fervent prayers.

Don’t accept defeat. It’s the lie of the enemies to deprive you of a fulfilled life.

Rise up ‘again’ and follow your dreams.

Peace and Love!

  1. I completely agree… A carefree journey might take you the same place, but if you have to fight to get where you want to go, you’ll enjoy getting there all the more! (if my sentence makes sense? lol – not sure it is perfectly clear 😛 )

    Happy Wednesday 🙂
