Hip Hip Hip, Hurrah!
Happy Birthday, Dearest Sister Augusta!
I will start by saying that you are one of the greatest gifts that I have in my life. Oh yes! And today is a special day because it is your birthday and I will not allow it to fade away without talking about you.
You are a woman with a heart of gold, kind and genuine. You exude love and are ever willing to assist and help people. You are ever so cheerful and your smile brightens the world. I love you for always big Sis and I will choose you for a sister over and over again.
With all your good traits, you have helped me become who I am today. You are my big sister and I have learned so much from you. I learned how to cook, how to clean, how to be a strong person, how to be kind, how to talk to people and how to accept people irrespective of who they are. I learned how to be dedicated, resilient and how to help others. Because these are all that you stand for and much more.
Hmmn, Sista mi, Sista nkem, you know how it is between us. How we both sit on the phone for hours talking leisurely, laughing and cracking those old jokes. How we relive and rethink moments in the past and the comedies we act at home that have everyone laughing and falling to the ground. Chei, it was fun then and even still. Distance has no powers over us, all thanks to the communication tools we have now. Though we are all adults with our separate lives… I appreciate that we still find time to laugh heartily into the dark night or even relive tears of pain. Such norms with life and existence. Ezigbo Nwanem! Ezigbo Nne Lisha and Kelly. I love you for always.
I know you are not on Facebook but I want to say it loud as you celebrate today in Nashville, TN, that I am celebrating you here in Denmark. Reminiscing on our ‘yesterday’, on you as a person and thanking God for our lives thus far. Kelly and Lisha are blessed to have you as a mother and so are we, your family.
I want to thank you for listening to my endless rants about things that get on my nerves and about everything else. You know na… Family talk, personal issues, love and living, Our Society and all those kinds of stuff. You’re one of my favourite persons in the world, and I’m so glad that you’re my sister too.
As Gavin DeGraw once said “And on those days when the sky begins to fall, you are the blood of my blood. And we can get through it all.” Whenever I listen to this lyric, I smile. It is so comforting to know that no matter what happens in this crazy life, we are blood, we are family and we will always have each other by our side.
Happy Birthday Dearest Sis and May the good Lord continue to uphold you. May this new age bring you blessings more than you anticipated and May you enjoy good health and God’s abundant grace today and always.
We all wish you many Happy Returns of the day. Big hugs and kisses to you – Aunty Ejime, Ada (hahaha, my fav name for you). You know I can be daring, lol. Thank you for your support and your love and your humour and for being YOU.
I will call you later today and biko, save some moments for me so I can entertain you with my chattering and rants and of course my special birthday song for you. I know you will enjoy your day. 🙂
Cheers to a wonderful and loving sister! 🙂
Uwaoma! Nwa Adaigbo. Chukwu gozie. 🙂
Peace and Love!
