Back To My Comfort Zone!

Ouch! It feels so so good to be here again!

I am awfully sorry for my sudden disappearance from this platform. I’ve been absent here for a month now.

I’m so sorry that I didn’t hint you of my travel plans.

Oh yes, I’ve been away to my homeland and thought I could reach out to you all from there. However, life presents us with surprises and unexpected developments.

Sadly, I realized upon arrival in Nigeria that one major problem posed to the citizens was poor internet connectivity.  There is either low or no services at all and this disrupted my blogging routines and access to the world.

Did I enjoy the stark reality of this development? Not at all.

I felt cut off from the world.

I couldn’t function maximally and I was down for a few days as this reality dawned on me. However, I emerged from the gloom and bounced back to life so I could at least enjoy the reconnections with family and old friendships.

In spite of the few challenges, I had wonderful moments with my family especially with my mother who was so so delighted to see her daughter again after so many years.

I managed to pull through other frustrations because so many things have changed. There is a big difference in the whole environment. And I couldn’t fit in properly into the existing norms anymore.

Today, I feel so happy to be back to a clime where things work better.

I am back in Denmark.

I feel alive again as the cold air welcome me home. It’s all wintry here. The grey sky and the naked trees are familiar sights that I’ve come to appreciate over time.  And even the harsh winter cold is magical and soothing to my body after the discomforting heatwave back in Nigeria.

It feels so so good that I’m home again.

I am grateful and thankful to God for safe travels.

I miss you all. 🙂

Peace and Love!

  2. My goodness, girl, it is so good to have you back. But if we missed you so much in a month, who could not understand the need of your mother to have you with her again! Go back to her when you can – but, yes, an alert that you will be gone would be nice. 😀

  3. Stella I am glad you are back home safe. I am glad you were able to see your family in Nigeria. Sounds like there are still many challenges in your homeland. How much had things changed since you were last there? Jen and I are just home from seeing family in Alberta. Bless you! Roland
