Wow! It Seems Like Forever…

How is Everyone doing?

Wow! I have missed you ALL.

How are you, and you, and you, doing?

I hope you are still here, and that you survived all the challenges that has besieged the world.

I didn’t mean to stay away for this long.

I thought it would be a few weeks break but life happened and my absence here lingered.

Indeed, a lot has also changed on this platform. I hope I can still return to my rhythm here as I’m finding it hard to type with the new writing features and outlook.

This is just to say HELLO and that I will be back here fully.

I missed you all, my old blogger friends and my new acquaintances.

This morning, all I want to do is to encourage us to keep holding on to God. Delay is not denial and we have to stay focused on our belief in God because He is able to meet us at the points of our needs.

Dear Friends, hold on, I say, hold on, hold on for the Lord will go before us to bring recompense, restoration and increase back to us. Just key into the word of God and believe today that The Lord is rising in your defence! Amen.

Your Nails And You!

 

I took a good look at my nails now and all I have to do is to use some colourful nail polish on them. Those finely manicured artificial nails are beautiful but they restrict me. I indulge in them when the need arises.

I took a decision a while back and I stopped doing all the acrylic and gel stuff because of the destruction of my nails. Hmmn, I don’t know about you, but my nails became weak and brittle. These artificials also leads to dystrophic nails and they look awful when taken off.

My life philosophy is, do what you can, while you can. Do it with all your might. Do it diligently. Do it prayerfully. Do it with optimism.

And after you’ve done your best, don’t worry about the rest. Just relax. Watch things unfold.

So today someone complimented me.

Wait for it.

I said I was complimented. 

I got called pretty today.

Wait for it.

I said I was complimented. Haha.

This last weekend, I was scavenging some old files and dairies as well as old emails from when I first got a Yahoo mail account.

Guess what I found?

I ran through some very old email exchanges with friends from as far back as 2004.

I tell you, there were all kinds of exchanges. Some cringe-worthy stuff in there.  Some are wonderful and lovely birthday greetings. Some were simply letters. And some were internet birthday greeting cards.

Random Facts About Me & My Beliefs!

 

I have written some random facts about me in the past. But it’s an inexhaustible list. So here are some more facts to nibble on today.

I am of the school of thought that anything worth doing is worth doing well with a laugh and a smile. I try to approach life and people with that in mind.  When I take stock of my life, I realised a long time that the best thing I can be is kind. Thus, I’m proud of my commitment to kindness. And these days, I do kindness with my common sense unlike before.

I was on the train and keenly watched someone take a selfie. She was busy making different facial expressions as she clicks the camera on her phone. I was enjoying the whole drama with this beautiful selfie-taker. Ah. Ndi selfie addicts! The mass hysteria for selfies shows it’s loved by many people. Until recently, I was not fascinated by selfies. I don’t even remember my phone camera. But all that has changed, now.

The lady was so engrossed with her ‘selfies’ that she didn’t notice my keen interest or perhaps, she didn’t care a hoot who was watching neither was she embarrassed that she was doing all of that in a public place. On the train.

Life is a Matter Of Perception:

What one person deems to be important may be just as equally unimportant to another.

What one deems to be right may seem very wrong to someone else.

Your moral compass and values may not always be totally in sync with others you meet.

In the end, it’s all just your perception of how you choose to live your life and this may not always win you, friends. In fact, it may gain you some enemies.

Live your life how you choose to and if people don’t like the way you do things then disagree if you must, but be nice and be respectful and then if you must, move on and leave it all behind you.

It’s your life after all and only you can live it. Choose your path and set your compass. Then start walking.
