Your Nails And You!

 

I took a good look at my nails now and all I have to do is to use some colourful nail polish on them. Those finely manicured artificial nails are beautiful but they restrict me. I indulge in them when the need arises.

I took a decision a while back and I stopped doing all the acrylic and gel stuff because of the destruction of my nails. Hmmn, I don’t know about you, but my nails became weak and brittle. These artificials also leads to dystrophic nails and they look awful when taken off.

Easter Reflections!

 

This is the Lenten Season.

A period of time where Christians especially the Catholics observe lent and engage in fasting as they reflect upon the teachings of Christ. His death and what it signifies to the body of Christ – The Church.

Easter signifies the victory over death by our Lord Jesus Christ.
It’s a defining moment to ponder on the climactic events leading to the crucifixion of our Lord.
Easter is the reason we are Christians in the first place.

Random Facts About Me & My Beliefs!

 

I have written some random facts about me in the past. But it’s an inexhaustible list. So here are some more facts to nibble on today.

I am of the school of thought that anything worth doing is worth doing well with a laugh and a smile. I try to approach life and people with that in mind.  When I take stock of my life, I realised a long time that the best thing I can be is kind. Thus, I’m proud of my commitment to kindness. And these days, I do kindness with my common sense unlike before.

Are You Provoked To React?

 

Let me start by saying that some people are perpetually provocative. And when you are around such people, their state of ‘misery’ always steal away your joy and peace.

I have seen people provoked for no reason. Yeah. This is common in relationships. There are times couples are quagmired by provocative statements. And reacting without thinking, responding in a pervasive manner always lead nowhere pleasant but in alienation and instant emotional divorce.

Love Vibes – Life Greatest Gift!

 

My Views About LOVE:

I believe that LOVE is only complex to blind minds. Even with eyes wide closed you can still feel the murmur, the fragrance, the sound, the magic of love around you. We are humans.  We will always misbehave one way or the other either right or wrong in a relationship. But, what will make the relationship last is for one of the partners to overlook the other’s misbehaviour for the sake of love. Certainly, there will always be friction in a relationship but the ability to manage it well determines the longevity of such a union.

To All Poetry Enthusiasts!

 

I don’t joke with people who have a taste for poetry. To all the poetry enthusiasts, I’d say, keep writing ‘cos the world will keep reading too.

I admire the fact that passionate feelings can be expressed through imaginative words in a creative aesthetic style and rhythm.

Unfortunately, Poetry is not accorded the recognition it deserves, especially in African literature. It’s not a genre of literature that is hugely appreciated no doubt, and this can be attributed to its distinctive language. However, with more poets (Africans) rising up, this conception might change in the near future.

So, today, let me honour the Masters of this distinctive art the world over, Poets, who craft words, mould them, weave them together, adding rhythmic beauty to these letters to create a superb gripping effect. 🙂

To all the poets who add special intensity and beauty to letters as they invoke emotions into their poetry –  SALUTE.

Do you know that milestones are a summation of small incremental achievements?
Do you know that naturally, successes and achievements take time to accumulate?
Do you know that you have to take it one step at a time?
And do you possibly know that it requires a great deal of discipline?
And that it takes consistency, a persistent attitude and unflinching determination?
And that it requires practice and a lot of patience?
And a proactive and practical attitude?
