Five Life Savers – Daily Prompt!

Daily Prompt Five Live Savers – Daily Prompt.   A classic question, revisited: what are the five items you must have on a deserted island?   Thanks for the prompt suggestion, Sue Perry!

*Water, very essential for survival*

*Swiss Army Knife*

This is a survival kit that I think is quite handy and will be very useful.  A Swiss Army Knife will help open up a coconut or other fruits I might find around. Will help to trim my hair, cut my nails, debone a fish and kill any creeping creature… Oh yes, can act as a tool for self-defense.

*Can’t do without the Holy Book. It will serve as a good literature to kill boredom*

*Bread and cookies will serve as food until I am rescued*

*My Phone and Power-bank*

The chewing gum, analgesics and lighter have a permanent residency in my backpack. I consider them a part of my makeup.  I don’t smoke but for obvious reasons, I always have a lighter with me. The lighter will keep me warm if it becomes cold and could also ward off predators. The gum is for freshness, will help me beat sugar cravings and also subdue hunger. I always have the need for pain killers during travels.

I have to keep warm. Therefore, I will make sure I wear layers of clothings and bring a blanket with me too.

Seriously, I pray never to find myself in such a critical situation where I will need to survive at all cost. However, the above items will offer a fighting chance.

Peace and Love!

    1. Haha! I tell you, that is not even an exhaustive list but at least it will help fight for survival. With the phone, I can write my notes and document the activities at the desert. Mere thoughts of being stranded at the desert gives me the heebie jeebies – scary enough! Have a blessed week, Gilian. 🙂

  1. Yup I thought you would have the technology with you 😀 I think if there weren’t solar charger though maybe just bring some more books to read and paper to scribble on. Best wishes!

  2. Haha! You can say that again! I’m glad this was a prompt. Can’t imagine how such an experience would be like… A paper and pen to scribble makes more sense! So good to hear your views. Thank you! 🙂
