I think it refers to writers who write for the sake of writing and others that write because they need to express, ergo the pain gives them motivation. 😀 Maybe I am wrong, but this is what seems logical to me. 😀

And you’re damn right. It’s logically correct. Thank you General. Enjoy this Saturday and keep the stories coming. 🙂

The stories written in pain are those that you can’t NOT write..the ones that consume your soul until pen is put to paper. The words flow with ease, sentence upon sentence simply exploding onto paper…and when complete a feeling of utter peace and accomplishment flow through you.

Great analogy and descriptions. I love to learn more and you just clarified this post logically for me. Many thanks Dear Suze. Have an amazing weekend. Hugs from cold cold Denmark. 🇩🇰🇩🇰❤😍

Written by pen…automatic journaling or writing fiction stories. Written by pain is expressing your own personal painful experiences on paper. That’s my opinion. Thanks for asking

Absolutely true. Our emotions carry weight when we put pen on paper. Thank you.

A wonderful conundrum. It is amazing the movies, for instance, which leave you feeling an emotion, are usually much more memorable, and tend to receive the awards, indeed

I have written several stories, mostly during my Xanga (former blogsite) days, that outlined my pain. Yes, those were indeed stories that I could not escape from writing.

I believe that many of us write in pain at some point or another. It depends on how we accept or understand our pain. Many great posts wrote in pain. Those are the poems or stories that we easily relate to and that we recognize or know well. However, the statement offers some balance.

I agree. When I started this blog, I poured out my heart ache in my poems. And most of them were not palatable. Now I understand. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. 🙂

I suppose one writes with pen to express to others, but when one writes with pain, it is to express oneself.

That’s it. All the responses thus far are singing same tune with different voices. I’m glad I posed the question cos I know better now. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. 🙂
