These rays of sunshine spreads joy around
A kiss from Mother Nature to gladden the heart
A warm liberation from the hands of the cold winter
Makes me float in the air with admiration
As I move away all the assemblages of winter
Away from her clutches and trappings
Away from her crispness and harshness
Away from the constant flu and nauseous feelings
Away from the teary eyes and icy feet
Away from the whining and irritations of snow time
**********
Paradise, I welcome thee
For thou art here to placate me with ice-creams
And smoother me with overflowing excitement
As I inhale the whole frenzy in the air
The flowery buds of the tulips dazzle my eyes
And the ocean breeze speaks peace to my soul
I am intoxicated by these summer razzmatazz
These new paintings on the landscapes
The new heaven
The perfect reprieve from the hands of the cold winter

I laughed out loud with the notion of ice-cream placating! It sounds like it’s very good for the soul! Nice to meet you 😊

It’s nice to meet you too. Lol. Ice cream is a prominent feature at summer times when it is consumed more and a huge delight too. But perhaps there will be a more befitting word if you think it’s not appropriate for the poem. I welcome opinions. 🙂

Oh no, I love the use of the word – I wish it had come to my mind to use. You may have to copyright the combo. So many words are commonly used together and I think we should be free to use dazzling displays of ingenuity. 😊
