Dinner is Served!

White Rice is one of the most popular foods in Nigeria. And eating white rice with beef or chicken stew (tomato sauce) is the people’s favourite.

This dish is quite easy to prepare and it can be eaten at any time of the day. But mostly, it serves for lunch or dinner. To enjoy white rice, it is always a good idea to eat it with fried plantain, beans, or vegetables but these are also optional.

Today, I have prepared white rice with fried plantain as you can see from the photos. And I tell you this sauce is very tasty and delicious. For today’s stew, instead of beef or chicken, I’ve used Chicken gizzard only.

Long grain parboiled white rice

Vegetable oil

Chilli or pepper

Onions (I use 2 or 3 large ones)

Chicken gizzard

Other condiments are seasonings and this is optional.

*Enjoy the e-view*  🙂

Peace and Love!

  1. Lol, you mean I should enjoy d e-view. Well that’s the highest I can do. That’s one of my favourite. As a little child, I never took rice to school if it wasn’t decorated with fried plantain as you have done.
Thanks for sharing the view all the same.

    1. You’re welcome. You cracked me up with that first sentence! Lol. I think rice is a fav food for most people especially back home. It’s just so irrestible and pleasantly delicious no matter how it is prepared. And plantain just add more value to it.
