There are many paths to take in life
But we must walk one step at a time
Taking the utmost care with each step
So we do not lose our foothold
Climb your stairways
In your unique step and gait
And create a path that has never been trodden
By the foot of man.
Every staircase rises and end up somewhere
And each step we climb
Has been trodden by other foot falls
The staircase may be battered or beautiful
It behoves on us to walk swiftly
Leaving our footprints in them
With our giant strides
Repainting every worn out step and rail
As we erase signs and traces of ages past
